Frequently asked questions

How long will I have access to the course platform and materials?

Once you have completed all the course requirements and received your course certificate, you will have access to the course platform and videos for 6 months from the start of your cohort. You will also have access for 12 months following your course start date for the ASCENT Learning Circles, our communities dedicated to continuous learning and cross-sector networking.

How can I stay in touch with my cohort peers or others in the Talentrade learning community?

After the ASCENT 10 live sessions are complete, you will have one year of access to the ASCENT Learning Circles.

What happens if I miss one of the 10 live sessions?

To receive the course certificate, you must attend at least 70% of the live sessions, and you must attend session 10. If for some unforeseen reason you are not able to attend either 70% of live sessions and/or the final session, you have the option to rebook onto another cohort at a different time (this cohort rebooking is only available once, after which you will not be able to receive your certificate or a refund of course fees).

Who are the creators and facilitators of the course?

The course creators are listed on our 'About Us' page. ASCENT facilitators are a mix of former strategy consultants from the top global consulting firms, or accredited Talentrade facilitators who have completed our Train-the-Trainer certification. Individual instructors will be listed before the start of the cohort sessions.

Are the courses all virtual or are there in-person options available?

We run a mix of virtual and in-person courses, and can work with client organisations who are interested in sponsoring or hosting in-person cohorts. If you are interested in sponsoring or hosting cohorts at your organisation or within your city, please contact us at events@talentrade.org.

Who is the ASCENT program designed for?

ASCENT is for professionals, with a minimum of one year to two years of full time work experience,  who want to tackle problems systematically and strategically, and improve their analytical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. The unique set of frameworks and hands-on tools covered in this course are also highly beneficial for mid to senior managers who want to not only inspire but also practically lead their teams to high performance.

Will I receive a course certificate?

Yes! Once you have submitted the quizzes and assignments and received a passing grade, and if you have attended at least 70% of the live sessions (including the final session), you will receive a course certificate that can be added to your list of digital credentials.

Can my organisation run ASCENT cohorts consisting of only our own employees?

ASCENT pricing for corporate and government participants includes the one-to-one subsidisation of participants from not-for-profit organisations and micro/small businesses. While we do offer the option for internally run (in house) cohorts, pricing will be higher per participant since it will offset the cost to run cohorts for individuals from not-for-profits and underrepresented groups. This reflects our commitment to supporting and upskilling those organisations and individuals who otherwise would lack access.
